Lakeside Union School District Offers Early Education Kindergarten To Give Kids An Early Start On Their Education
Students can get a headstart on learning at Lakeside Union School District through the District’s Early Admission Kindergarten Program (EAK). The program is available to children in the area who turn five years old between the dates of December 3rd and February 28th, and classes will take place from January through June.
Early Admission Kindergarten is a free, state-funded program that helps children expand their skills and experience enriched early educational instruction. The program is completely voluntary and fills up quickly as space is limited. Parents need to apply online, and spots are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis with priority given to students who reside in the Lakeside Union School District. To participate, children must have current Kindergarten age immunizations and proof of birth certificate and residency at the time registration begins. The school site your child attends will be determined on a space-available basis.
Spanish immersion is also offered to students in the program, setting them up for future immersion programs. To learn more about programs and resources available in the Lakeside Union School District, visit the LUSD website!
