Welcome to Winter Gardens Elementary campus. We are home to Riverview International Academy for TK, Kindergarten, and First Grade.

Our school offers a Dual Immersion Program with a One-Way Model in either Spanish Immersion or Mandarin Immersion. We offer a 90/10 model in Spanish language immersion, gradually changing to a 50/50 in 5th grade. Mandarin Immersion is 50% English and 50% Mandarin.

Both programs offer a third language enrichment option to prepare our students to become global citizens with multi-linguistic 21st Century skills.

Our site engages students on the 7 Keys of Excellence; preparing them to be transformative leaders in their inner and extended global community.

Guided by Restorative Practices and Cultural Proficiency, our site assists students with conflict-resolution and assimilation practices to help them become compassionate, team-players, solution-seeking 21st Century employees employers seek.

Districtwide Announcements:

With the November 5, 2024 elections, Lakeside now has new trustee areas, which will impact how residents vote in future elections. Instead of electing trustees at large, the community will now vote by trustee area. This means that each voter will only vote for a trustee to represent their specific area, ensuring that every neighborhood has a voice in local governance. The change aims to provide more equitable representation, as trustees will now be elected to serve the interests of the distinct communities within Lakeside. Voting by district promotes a closer connection between trustees and the people they represent, fostering greater accountability and local engagement.
