Supporting Our Military-Connected Families at LMS

At Lakeside Middle School, we are deeply committed to supporting military-connected students and their families. We recognize the unique strengths, resilience, and experiences that military families bring to our community, and we strive to ensure every student feels welcomed, supported, and connected from the moment they join our campus.
Our approach is rooted in care, collaboration, and responsiveness to the needs of military-connected students. We intentionally work to:
- Welcome and personally connect with new students and families, helping them transition smoothly into our school community
- Provide strong academic support, including targeted assistance to ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed
- Offer social-emotional support, with access to counseling services and connections to additional resources when needed
- Build staff awareness and understanding of the unique experiences of military life, allowing us to better support each student’s journey
At LMS, we believe that strong partnerships with families are essential. By working together, we create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive both academically and socially. Our goal is not only to ease transitions, but to ensure every military-connected student develops a lasting sense of belonging during their time with us.
We are proud of the supportive community we’ve built and remain committed to meeting the needs of all students and families we serve.
