• Western Days Parade
Each year we have the Western Days Rodeo and Parade here in Lakeside. To promote the parade we have a Western Days Rally here at our school on the Friday of the Rodeo. There is no parade or contest for best costume that day, but we do invite our students and staff to dress-up in their Western attire.

The Western Days Parade is a festive event filled with one of the largest equestrian participations on the West coast: Bands, Clowns, Classic Cars, Off-Roaders, Queens, Princesses and local dignitaries.

We honor local businesses, schools, service organizations and sport teams. The parade is usually on the Saturday of the Western Days Rodeo weekend. It begins around 9:35 am and travels along Woodside & Maine Ave.

Lindo Park School participates in the parade and shares a float with one of the other elementary schools in our district. Teachers choose exemplary students here at the school to ride on the float. The theme for our float usually revolves around PeaceBuilders.

Lindo Park's theme for 2011-2012: "Building Peace with the Proper Tools"
