Tessa Green, Vice-Principal
Hello, my name is Tessa Green. I am honored and privileged to be your Vice Principal here at Tierra del Sol Middle School. I have been in the education field since 2003. I started teaching in Las Vegas, Nevada and now here in beautiful San Diego, California. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and also received my Masters degree in Educational Administration from National University in San Diego in 2010. I have taught a wide range of grades including Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade as well as taught in special education classes. I have served on the ILT Committee for the last two years along with being on NGSS as well as being on many other District Wide Committees.
Throughout my employment, I have experience working with administrative and non-administrative personnel; student service staff, parents, caregivers, students, social workers, and the general public. The scope of my experience has provided me an opportunity to work in and with a diverse population, as well as, afford me a wealth of knowledge and skills that were both beneficial and essential for the advancement and success of my students throughout my teaching career. My mission is to foster the innate curiosity of our students, promote optimum learning by collaboratively developing a personalized learning program for each student. I believe that instructional practices should be empirically based. Stressing the importance of individually, as well as, providing positive reinforcement encourages academic achievement and personal success for "Every Student Every Day".
I welcome the opportunity to share my vision and passion for student learning with Our Team.
