  • I am thrilled to be Principal at Lakeview!  It is amazing to see how much students grow emotionally, socially and academically during the course of the year.  It is a privilege to be able to share in their excitement and enthusiasm for learning.

A little bit about me... This year marks my 22nd year teaching.  I have experience teaching every grade level from kindergarten through 6th grade.  I taught in several districts, including Chula Vista, Coronado and Alpine, before finding my home here at Lakeview.  Truly, I have never been happier!  I love coming to work every day surrounded by amazing kids, fantastic families, inspiring colleagues and a supportive administration.  LUSD is a cutting edge district that puts the arts, science and technology in the forefront of instruction.  With the implementation of the Common Core curriculum, it is an exciting time to be an educator!

I live in Alpine with my incredibly supportive (and patient) husband and four beautiful children.  My oldest child is a sophomore in high school and my three daughters are right here at Lakeview (because really, don't we all want what's BEST for our children?)  In addition to my passion for teaching, I enjoy sunny afternoons, being outdoors with my family, being goofy, organizing things, and (although rare) quiet moments with a cup of coffee and a good book.

I firmly believe that the education of children stems from a strong relationship between the home and school.  I believe that teachers and parents are partners in education and by working together we can help our children succeed.  I am excited about being a partner in your child's education.  My goal is to provide our students with the tools they needs to be successful!  I strive to provide a nurturing, yet academically challenging environment for each and every student.
