Lemon Crest School will participate in Jump Rope for Heart in the spring of 2017 on April 7th. This event is a great opportunity for our students to learn the satisfying feeling of helping and giving to others. Students attend a kickoff assembly given by the American Heart Association during which they learn about the research done by AHA on heart disease and malfunctions of the heart suffered by children and adults. During this time, our kids are reminded about how important it is for them to stay heart healthy, as well. Students are given two weeks to raise money that is donated to the American Heart Association. The culminating event is a school wide jump-a-thon! It is a fun-filled afternoon with music, exercise, and unity of purpose.
