Substitute Teacher Opportunities
If you are interested in substitute teaching for the Lakeside Union School District, please complete the Certificated Substitute Hire Packet below.
When completed, call Holly Tucker at (619) 390-2600 ext 2639 in Human Resources to make an appointment to drop off your paperwork to become a substitute teacher.
We will also need you to bring in your Social Security Card and Driver’s License (OR your US Passport), a copy of your most current TB test (good for 4 years), and a copy of either your California 30 Day Emergency Teaching Credential or your California Credential (you can get a copy off of the CTC Website). You must be registered in the Fingerprint Clearinghouse with the County office of Education.
STATE MANDATED FINGERPRINT REQUIREMENTS: The law states that you may not begin working until the district has a fingerprint clearance on file for you from the San Diego County Schools Clearinghouse.
