    4th & 5th Spelling Bee Results – The 1st Annual Lemon Crest Spelling Bee, sponsored by our very own PTA, was successful and best of all, FUN! The winners were: 1st Place, Desi Magno, 4th Grade – Mrs. Bartolotta; 2nd Place, Danielle Jack, 4th Grade – Ms. Hassing; and 3rd Place, Jacob Rusboldt, 5thGrade – Ms. Givens. Our Top Sponsored student was Nathan Demonto from Ms. Givens class, & he received a $50 gift card. PTA thanks you & CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!! MORE PTA NEWS – Founders’ Day winners for 2014 are School Secretary, Jane Williams; Parent Volunteers, Barbara Skimson, Amanda Greaves, & Stacy Hong; and PTA VP-Membership, Tasha Garcia. Mrs. Garcia has a 5th grader so she will be moving on to middle school at the end of this year. We will miss her.

    HELPING OTHERS – Our Annual Canned Food Drive is ON! Send in your donations of non-perishables food stuffs to your child’s classroom. April is our month, but we start early to make up for Spring Break. The classroom that donates the most receives a “Fruitcicle” Party from PTA. (Be sure to check the expiration dates plz before you send in your donations.) Thank you for helping out our friends & neighbors!!

    NEW BELLS – When we return from Spring Break April 21, you will notice that we have two bells in the morning: A Passing Bell at 7:47 am, to alert students & parents that school is about to start, and a Tardy Bell at 7:50 am, announcing that schoolhas started. We hope this “3 Minute Warning” will eliminate many of our tardiesJ

    50 YEARS OF LAKESIDE RODEO!! This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Lakeside Rodeo. On Tuesday, April 22, Lakeside Middle School will host a Chuck Wagon BBQ, 4:30-7:30 pm. Put it on your calendar as a MUST DO! There will be great food, singing, dancing, and a Cowboy Good TimeJ
