One could say I am a native of Lakeside.  After attending the LUSD school system and graduating from El Capitan, I ventured to UCSB.  Eventually, I found my way back down to San Diego and Graduated from UCSD  and continued on with their teacher education program.

I was fortunate enough to get my first teaching job at Tierra del Sol Middle School working as a Special Education teacher.  While at TdS, I completed my Masters of Education in Special Education at SDSU.  In 1995 an opportunity to work at Lakeview opened up and I transferred into a 5th grade classroom.  Since then, I have taught a variety of grade levels and became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher.
For 16 years I had been fortunate enough to share a contract with some amazing teachers.  This allowed me to find the perfect balance for the two main passions in my life, my teaching career and my family.  In 2015, I decided to go full circle and teach at the school that I attended as a child.  What a fantastic decision to join the Lakeside Farms team!

I have been blessed with 2 daughters and a wonderful husband.  My family enjoys spending time together volunteering, camping and traveling.

Be it a friend from my youth, a former student, or someone new, please come by and say hello!
