It's a great pleasure to be in my fifth year of teaching here at Lindo Park. I love this school and am exceptionally proud to be a part of it and this wonderful community. Previously, I taught at Riverview Elementary here in Lakeside and before that in Santee. I was born and raised here in San Diego’s East County. I’ve also spent time living in the Bay Area and Seattle, WA. I received my B.A. degree from UC Berkeley and completed my teaching credential at San Diego State University. My wife is a high school math teacher in Chula Vista and we have one daughter who is in 7th grade. In my spare time I love to cook, run and read (not all at the same time). I recently completed my first full marathon, which I'd say was nearly as challenging as keeping a room full of kindergarteners on task. I also greatly enjoy the outdoors and traveling. I love teaching, and I particularly enjoy working with primary grade kids--they are so unfiltered, enthusiastic and have an amazing energy level that inspires me and makes me feel like a kid again myself. I particularly enjoy teaching at Lindo Park. The kids here are awesome, the community is very supportive and we have a great staff that strives to help and support one another. I'm looking forward to another fantastic and exciting year. | |
