I'm very happy to be starting my 25th year in the District  - unbelieving, but happy!      I have a sense of adventure about life; love to travel, spend time with my family and am excited to be growing a great crop pf tomatoes this year!

 

I graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in English and worked for several years in public relations as a corporate writer. I returned to SDSU for my teaching credential when I realized that was my true calling and in 1998 earned my Master's Degree with an emphasis in Language Arts.

 

I've taught 2nd,  3rd and 4th grades, and am especially inspired  working with younger children and having more opportunities to talk and work closely with each student every day, as there are fewer students than in the upper grades. I've always been an avid reader and love to inspire that enthusiasm in 7 & 8 year olds!

Another number that is hard to believe is 38 years married!  My husband, Greg owns a pool service and remodeling company. We have one son, Sean, who got married in March and will turn 30 this year - another seemingly impossible milestone. Sean's a teacher too  - teaching Social Studies at Helix High School.
