I have been working here at Lindo Park School as the Bilingual Special Programs Assistant since 2010. I translate most everything into Spanish for the large community of Spanish-speaking families we have here at Lindo Park. I also help out with quite a few programs here at the school, such as, English Language Learners, School Site Council, our Afterschool Tutoring program, and I manage our school website. I have learned so much from the amazing staff we have here. In my opinion, Lindo Park is an outstanding school!

 

Before I started working for the Lakeside Union School District, I worked with my parents managing seventy apartments in the San Diego area. I'm thankful to them for pushing me to learn Spanish when I was growing up; being bilingual has proved very beneficial in my life.

 

I was born and raised in San Diego. My family moved to Lakeside when I was one year old. I have four siblings; two of my siblings also work for the Lakeside Union School District. 

 

On April 9, 2011, I exchanged vows with my best friend and amazing husband, Keith Mortensen. Keith is the Playground Coordinator here at Lindo Park School.

 

I have always enjoyed artistic hobbies, such as reading, writing, drawing, photography, and music. Some of my favorite times have been spent singing with Keith as he strums on his acoustic guitar.
