Welcome to the TDS Science Department!

We believe that rather than sitting still and passively absorbing information, students should be actively engaged with the content they are learning.  We use numerous tools and strategies to help ensure that all students achieve success and enjoy their time here with us at TDS.  Some of these tools include: technology, sense-making science notebooks, flexible grouping and integration with other curricular areas.  Teachers act more as guides to create innovative project-based learning experiences that will engage our diverse group of students in meaningful and relevant projects through which they will not only learn the science content, but develop and apply 21st century skills and knowledge.
