Night Custodian

 

 

Hello! My name is Loren Davis, and I would like to introduce myself. First of all, I am very happy to be here at Lindo Park Elementary School as the night custodian serving its community of students and teachers. The staff here seems friendly and kind, and I am sure that I will enjoy getting to know each of them. Although I am new to Lindo Park School, I am a veteran with the Lakeside Union School District having served about 19 years at different locations.

Some personal background: I am a native of the San Diego area, having first lived in the Serra Mesa area. Later, my family moved to the Mt. Helix area while I was a teenager. I graduated from Monte Vista High and have attended Grossmont College and San Diego State University having earned degrees from both schools. I have an Associate of Science degree from Grossmont and a Bachelor of Science from SDSU.

Currently, I am a volunteer reading tutor under a county program and have been for about eight years helping at risk 2nd grade students. Recently I did some substitute teaching for Cajon Valley School District and might enjoy pursuing this line of teaching later on.

I am an avid reader of Scientific American and Forbes magazines, and I will always be in the process of reading at least one non-fictional book. My other hobbies include mountain climbing, skin diving, and coin and stamp collecting. I also enjoy watching sports.
