Registration Information

Riverview is a school of choice in the Lakeside Union School District. It is no longer a "home school."
 
 
2013-2014 Kindergarten Registration:
SIBLING PRIORITY PROCESS ONLY FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER.

November is sibling priority registration month for incoming kindergarteners for the 2013-2014 school year. Students must turn 5 years old by October 1, 2013.

Parents of incoming kindergarten students who are siblings of currently enrolled Riverview students will be allowed to add their incoming student(s) to the online interest form.  The following steps are required to inform school administration of the incoming student.  Please keep in mind that these steps must take place before November 30, 2012 to maintain the student’s priority status.

 

Step 1:  Log on to your GatherSafely account.  If you do not yet have a GatherSafely account, register through the GatherSafely logo link that can be found on the Riverview Elementary School website home page. http:/www.lsusd.net/rv.

 

Step 2:  On the “Welcome” section which is located on the top left hand side of the page, click on the blue “Edit” link.  Click on the “Family Profile” tab, then click on the + Add New Student link.

 

Step 3:  Follow the on screen directions and complete the Student Information form.  Be sure to list all siblings who are currently enrolled in the program (full legal names).

 

This will reserve your incoming child’s position on our online registration system.  You will be notified by email regarding the next step in completing your request.  To maintain sibling priority, this process must be completed by December 1, 2012.  Once this first step is completed you will be notified in March of your assessment appointment.  Please contact the school administration office if you have any additional questions.  619-390-2662

 
NEW KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS ENROLLMENT PERIOD 2013-2014. The new student enrollment period begins January 1, 2013 and ends February 27, 2013. More information will be available regarding the registration process on this website December 1, 2012. Until then plan to attend one of the new parent meetings. They are scheduled on the following Wednesdays: January 23rd and February 27th, 2013 at 6 pm in the auditorium at Riverview. Attendance at a new parent meeting is required. New parent tours are scheduled on the following Thursdays: January 24th and February 28th, 2013 at 9 am. Attendance at a new parent tour is also required (adults only please).

SCHOOL OF CHOICE Requests for continuing students living within the Lakeside Union School District boundaries are required every year. School of choice request forms are available the first school day of each March. School of choice request forms must be returned to the office by the last school day of each March to assure enrollment.

INTERDISTRICT TRANSFERS for continuing students residing outside of Lakeside Union School District boundaries are required. The new procedure is once your IDT is approved, you no longer have to submit it annually.
