After School Tutoring
Here at Lindo Park School we offer an Afterschool Tutoring program designed for students who are experiencing some difficulty in the regular academic program. This tutoring program is funded through Title I.
Afterschool Tutoring is composed of small groups in order to provide additional instruction to students in whatever academic areas they need. A small-group setting maximizes teacher-student interaction. This program includes pre-teaching, small-group instruction, and one-on-one tutoring. Teachers use instructional strategies that support the lessons student's are taught in their classroom. The majority of our teachers organize and work in the Afterschool Tutoring program; however, a student's teacher may not be their tutor after school.
The third session for After School Tutoring will be February 26, 2013 - March 21, 2013. It takes place every Tuesday and Thursday. Times vary by grade level. If your child qualifies, your child's teacher will contact you. Students must turn in a permission slip signed by their parent/guardian before they can participate.
