Regular attendance plays a key role in the success of a student.
If students are going to be absent, their parent or guardian should call 390-2559 (24/7) between 7:00 and 3:30 on that day. The school is required by California State law to permit absences only in the case of :
* Illness, injury or quarantine
* Necessary medical, dental or optometry appointments
* Funeral for immediate family
Upon returning to school following an absence (if no call was made the day of the absence), students must bring a written explanation from their parents. This can be in the form of a note or an absence slip which should be turned into the homeroom teacher or the attendance office. Students may be sent to the office by thier Homeroom teacher to clear their absence if no call or note was received.
