LUSD Technology Plan 2009-2012 The Educational Technology committee of the Lakeside Union School District originally prepared an Educational Technology Plan during the 1994/1995 school year. This five-year plan was developed to evaluate the use of technology in the district, determine technology needs and initiate a plan for implementation. The plan was revised by the same committee during the 2002/2003 school year. The updates made to the plan were based on the 2001 California Department of Education technology requirements for staff and students and to have the plan “State Read” by California Department of Education. The purpose of the three-year plan update and a one year re-visit is to identify strategies that will help the District meet national technology standards and promote student achievement on subject and grade level content standards through the use of technology.
